As an experienced university professor, I am uniquely qualified to teach various subjects, and have a proven track record of educating a culturally broad range of students toward achieving high marks.
When teaching conversational English, I provide targeted vocabulary and worksheets to assist in semi-immersive conversation.
Communication is dual-fold; speaking and (active) listening. I focus on both of these aspects of communication. Of utmost importance is developing “conversation confidence” by focusing on conversation, not on the mechanics of language.
When teaching writing development, my style is workshop-driven; I prefer to give immediate feedback and remain instantly available for questions.
Here I focus on writing and reading, assisting students with grammar, mechanics and syntax, when to use passive versus direct sentence structures, and the application of Lagos, Pathos, Ethos. Here, everything depends on your intended audience!
For both young learners and adults, this is a fun and creative way to learn English in a group setting.
Art projects are paired with vocabulary and writing lessons. Students learn a creative medium, such as painting or weaving, then asked to write short paragraphs and present the project to the group.
Guest artists and learning Alentejo history would be one of the goals of the tailored programming
I provide one-on-one or group instruction that helps you meet established outcomes.
