about me

I retired from academia and municipal finance in March of 2023 prior to moving from Dallas, Texas, US to Evora, Portugal. Writing has always been my passion, and although I have time to focus on writing, I truly miss being in the classroom and watching students learn and grow.

The poet, Rumi wrote, “Let the beauty of what you love be what you do."

So, my current focus is teaching conversational English at the Universidade de Évora Centro de Linguas da Escola de Ciências Sociais, other local schools and organizations, as well as to individuals who are interested in formal and casual learning.
